Before & After– Don’t get too excited, though.

First, I wanted to wish my husband a Happy Five Year Anniversary. It is crazy to think that five years ago today we were here:

And I would post a picture of us today, but I can assure you it is not NEARLY as exciting. However, we pretty much look the same. Only without the formal attire. I would say something super cheesy about how much I love my husband (which I do), but that is totally not my m.o.

So instead I will share with you the really romantic way we shared our anniversary weekend: Putting together new outdoor furniture. Nothing says “I love you” like a new table and chair set. But it does show longevity. I would never have put that table together if I didn’t plan to sit with him there for a long, long time. Truth be told, Tommy put together the table and one of the chairs in the amount of time it took me to put together one chair. But my chair is put together far more superior.

So our front porch before:

And after. (I told you – exciting!)

Believe it or not (that is totally in my sarcastic font), the set came from Target. The picture on the box was so aspirational that it sold us. Also, the fact that it was wrought-iron and we could repaint it one day if we needed/wanted to.

Anyway, I am loving that we can have a glass of wine and check out our neighbors from our front porch without it looking totally nosey. ;)

  4. I'm totally the same...just not the mushy type. Poor hubby.

Love the cute table. Wish I had a more relaxing way to be a nosey neighbor, I have to pretend to pick weeds or something. (Which can be exhausting!) I have front porch envy. :)

    Still loving your blog....
