Bumpdate Weeks 33 & 34

 

How far along: 34 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: I am going with 22. My home scale shows I am up 20 and the one at the doctor shows 24, so I will meet in the middle on this one.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity and dresses one size up.

Gender: Boy!

Movement: Same as last week. He definitely has times of day where he is most alert, but is still way more chill then Emmy.

Sleep: I wake up between 1-4 times a night to go to the bathroom. Some insomnia, some nights where I wake up excited that I slept 4 straight hours. Ha!

Cravings: Tootsie Rolls

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks contractions, back pain after a walk, but overall have felt fine!

Looking forward to: Getting his room set up. My mom has painted several furniture pieces for him, my father-in-law and friend put everything together, my mother-in-law helped with some bedding things, so it has been a labor of love around here. However, my mom and I began to sort things and I got overwhelmed and had to quit. Ha! We have some books from his shower on the shelf and some pictures hung, but I decided to start small and just begin washing things and putting those away instead of tackling all the clothes I have bought him and hand-me-downs all at once.

Best moments: Loved celebrating baby boy with the book shower! Also, my friends came in town from Houston and OKC and it was amazing because we stayed one night in a hotel!!! I highly recommend this for some down time. We were in our pjs watching girly shows by 8 p.m. Heaven! (My 21 year-old self would think I am ultra lame!)

Also, my sister-in-law had her baby today, so I am super excited for our little guys to be close friends (whether they want to or not ).

Big sister: When we asked her recently what she wanted to do with baby brother she said she wanted to kiss him and cuddle him! Heart-melter! My niece, Abby, who is five months old is currently in town and Emmy has been loving on her with lots of helping, hugging, holding and kissing. She has been fine with me holding her, so I hope that this translates to baby brother.  Ha!
