Baby Books

I have gotten several books for myself and for the baby, so I thought I would share some of my favorites.

My sister gave me this one line a day journal and I love it. It is a five-year memory book where I record just a little snippet of our day. I think it will be so fun to look back over the years to see what we were doing on this day in 2012. I am sure things will be so different a year from now and to see how far we have come :).

Both my mom and sister gave me this book on the night I went into labor with Emmy. Oh my goodness….I read it and was crying my eyes out. (Hormones much???) But it is such a sweet book and would make a perfect gift to bring to the hospital for someone.

Prior to Emmy being born, Tommy and I watched this video. It is also in book form, but I am so glad we watched it! I would highly recommend it to any new parents to be. Obviously, we don’t have this down yet by any stretch of the imagination, but it really is super helpful.

I wanted to get an actual baby book for Emmy and I bought this one. It is super cute, has great pages and I think it will grow with her…if I ever get around to adding information. (I thought I would have so much more free time. Ha!!!!) Also, strangely enough, the designer of this book is also the person who designed the fabric for the baby bedding.

My sister-in-law let me borrow this book this weekend and I have already found it to be a life saver. I am sure this may save SEVERAL calls to the doctor!

I am sure one day I will have a post that is not baby related :)!

  1. I love your baby posts, and I'm glad you must have at least a little "free" time. I gave both my girls the book On the Day You Were Born, and we had everyone who visited on the first day of birth to sign the book. I should have mentioned that to you sooner, but I forgot!! Maybe some of your readers can use the idea.

  3. We have On the Night You Were Born too. Sweet book. I also just filled in some 18 month info in Tully's regular baby book. I gave up on making it pretty--just getting the info in there in any color pen with some dates is good enough. We're already able to look back and reminisce.

  4. I have the same baby book for sweets #2. I am SUPER picky about baby books, and I LOVED Mallory's but I couldn't find it again. When i saw this one, though, it was the closest and BEST one I could find to Mallory's. Such good taste you have. :)

  5. Thanks for sharing Katie. I will need these one day. . . and I'm so excited for the Mom's One Line a Day one. Those are memories she can read when she's older. . . I would have loved to look back and read what my mom was feeling or thinking when I was a baby. I'm so happy for you:)

  6. We LOVE on the night you were born. I give it as a gift often. Rhett reads it ever night and knows all of the words and when to wiggle his toes:). Where did you get her baby book, it looks cute!
