Holden is 7 Months Old

This has been a month full of milestones for Holden! He got his first two bottom teeth, started pulling up, reaches for people, is eating food more regularly and attempting to crawl! Wow. I am tired just typing it .



Sleep is okay overall, but he has about one night a week of still waking during the night and some super early mornings (think before 6 – zzz).  The beauty of the second is that you know (ha – at least hope) that they will eventually get there. This is how he sleeps – make sure a pacifier is always close! Ha!!!

Holden pretty much goes with the flow. He naps on the run some of the time, whereas I always had Emmy in her crib at naptime. Then again, we had nothing else to do, so it was no big deal. With a big sister to entertain, we are always out doing something.

This month Holden tried out the pool and the splash pad. He seemed to like both just fine!

He is always quick to give a smile, but has gotten to where he wants someone within his line of sight. If I leave the room for a second, he starts to fuss. But he will give the biggest smiles when he spots me. The other day I came home from work and Emmy wanted to sit on my lap and I gave him a hug and then Tommy or my mother-in-law took him and he cried the saddest little cry. Sweet boy loves his mama!

Holden’s schedule has changed a bit…he now only has four bottles a day and will go between 3.5-4 hours between bottles. We still do three naps a day because he wakes up at around 6:15 on average and I try to put him down around 7:30 – 8.
Holden LOVES his sister. She is super sweet to him and loves to hold him and give him hugs (except when he wants something that is hers….but we will focus on the positive). My mother-in-law said he was belly laughing at her dancing the other day. Here they are with their serious faces:


Holden weighs 17 pounds, 11 ounces as of his doctor’s appointment last week and is 26.25 inches long. He is in the 30th percentile for everything. He is wearing 6-9 month clothes and size three diapers.
We just love this happy little guy!
