Blow drying game changer

Um...sorry if all you saw earlier was this image. I typed and sent a whole post from my phone, but somehow only the picture made it in.

Anyway, I thought I left my blow dryer on vacation (turns out I didn't), but was in a hurry to buy one at Target this morning. I did a quick google search for best blow dryers and came across this article on Allure. The only drug store dryer recommended was this Infiniti Pro by Conair. And since I am not in the market for a $300 blow dryer, this $30 one fit the bill.

I am telling you, though, I have been looking for a dryer that actually cuts down my dry time and this one actually did. My hair is super thick and usually takes about 8 minutes to dry. This cut it down to 5.

I am not being paid to promote this. Just wanted to share my review.

Holden Five Months

Holden’s last month was full of milestones! It is so funny to see how much different he is than Emmy. I am pretty sure she didn’t roll over from back to front until around 6 months, but little man rolled one night while on his play mat and I thought it was a fluke, but then he did it a few nights later in his swaddle, so we had to do some baby unswaddling boot camp.

Holden still has his startle reflex, so I bought him a zipadee zip, and it works pretty well to give him a full range of motion, but also gives him a little resistance when he startles, so he isn’t awake two seconds later. He actually did pretty well with one arm unswaddled while waiting for the zippy to come in, but for safety’s sake, we moved him to this.  It is not a miracle sleep sack, but he sleeps as well as he did swaddled (which isn’t perfect – ha)! We had some ups and downs in sleep this month – we had a week of sleeping through the night, then another few weeks of waking every few hours, then back to sleeping well and then not. Ha! Luckily, he is super sweet during the day time and will go right back to sleep once he is fed. I would like to break that habit, though.  Mama needs sleep. I will say he sleeps much more soundly when he rolls to his tummy, but has woken the past couple of nights and seems to be mad he is on his stomach. Ha!

His day time routine is pretty much still eating 6 ounces every threeish hours and napping 3-4 times a day.  We also go through a lot of clothes around these parts because sweet boy spits up constantly!

Holden had his first Easter this month and got a Georgie Pig (which was quickly confiscated by big sister), some sunglasses, a cute sun hat and some other items that I have since forgotten! (#mommybrain)

We also had Holden baptized into the Catholic church. He was a perfect angel and smiled and cooed throughout the baptism. Baby boy didn’t make a peep when he got the holy water poured on his head.

Holden does still love to be outside and big sister is really interacting with him more, which he LOVES. He will give her huge smiles. He also just loves his bath. We can no longer bathe him in his little tub in the sink. He splashes like CRAZY!  I have put his little bath in her big bath and let them bathe together a few times and it cracks me up because she will crawl in too and sit with him. Doesn’t seem to faze him a bit.

Emmy really is a great big sister and loves to hug him, hold him and help. She is constantly telling me he has spit up (even if he hasn’t) and uses it to her advantage when she needs to go to sleep and then says, “But I just want to give brother a hug.” Ha! When I need her to calm him down, she will go to him and say, “It’s okay, brother” or “What’s wrong?” or come and tell me if he needs me. This was super cute – she got in my bed with him the other day and said, “take a picture of us – we are so cozy.”  I can’t wait to see them interact more.  Seeing them together really is just one big mom cliché.
